Joey Mesenbrink, b. 1998,

With a degree from the University of Indianapolis that features a minor in communication, Joey Mesenbrink is in the workforce working full-time as a newscast director at NBC 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
   

Prior to attending the University of Indianapolis, Joey attended Lindenwood University.  He was a staff member at KCLC-FM/HD 89.1, St. Charles, Missouri where he performed regularly as an on-air personality and as an announcer for live sports broadcasts, provided voice and production work, staffed promotional events, and studio-produced live sports broadcasts and in-studio and live remote broadcasts.  Joey was also a staff member at LUTV performing as a camera operator for in-studio shows and live sports broadcasts and he helped out in the athletics department.  As a show producer, Joey won an award at the NBS-AERho 57th Annual National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition for his talking heads show that he used for an assignment.  Joey transferred from Lindenwood University to the University of Indianapolis in 2021.
   

In his short time at the University of Indianapolis, Joey did many things.  He was a staff member for two semesters at WICR-FM/HD 88.7, Indianapolis where he performed regularly as an on-air personality, provided voice work, pre-produced and edited full-length shows, staffed promotional events, and studio-produced live sports broadcasts and in-studio and live remote broadcasts.  Joey was a member of the University of Indianapolis chapter of NBS-AERho and helped UINDYTV with productions.  Joey also shot and edited content for the men’s basketball team as their student videographer. He has won an award for his videography skills shooting the men’s basketball team at the NBS-AERho 59th Annual National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition.  Off-campus, Joey worked at WRTV-TV, Indianapolis where he began as a production intern and worked up to being a part-time director directing and recording media needed for OTA and OTT and working with the news staff to execute flawless newscasts.

Born October 14, 1998 in Chesterfield, Missouri to mom, Michelle, and dad, Jim, Joey is the oldest sibling in a family of four.  He has a 23-year-old brother named Josh who recently graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and his master’s degree from Stanford University.
